Poowong Consolidated School proudly serves our local community. We cater for children from Prep to Grade 6. We pride ourselves on our connection to the community and the experiences we offer. These currently include music (classroom and instrumental), visual and performing arts, an annual CD production, school garden, sustainability program and a variety of sporting programs.
Here you can follow the journey the school has taken towards providing a sustainable education, establishing a sustainable school site and educating the students in being more sustainable and responsible in their choices.
The school has committed to participation in the ResourceSmart Australian Sustainable Schools Initiative Victoria (AuSSI Vic). With the help of Lisa Benn the school has began completing the Core Module of the 5 module program. The Core Module is the foundation for establishing and documenting the sustainability practices undertaken at the school.
